Sacramento Kings' Domantas Sabonis Sidelined with Partial Meniscus Tear

The Sacramento Kings face a significant setback as their starting center, Domantas Sabonis, has been diagnosed with a partial meniscus tear in his left knee following an MRI scan. This injury is expected to keep Sabonis out of action for an extended period, possibly sidelining him until the 2025-26 National Basketball Association (NBA) season.

Sabonis, 29, will undergo a follow-up evaluation three to four weeks from now to reassess his recovery progress. Before the injury, the three-time All-Star last took the court on Monday, November 17, 2025 (Philippine time), where he posted 17 points and 13 rebounds despite the Kings' 110-123 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Up until his injury, Sabonis was delivering strong performances, averaging 17.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Meanwhile, the Kings continue to struggle in the Western Conference, holding a disappointing 3-13 win-loss record.

The team will likely face challenges ahead in Sabonis's absence as they seek to improve their standing in the league.
