The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, under the leadership of Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer, participated in the 2025 East Bay Global Forum held in Berkeley, California, on September 11. The forum convened government officials, business executives, and diplomatic representatives to promote international trade, innovation, and economic growth within Northern California’s East Bay region.

Consul General Ferrer expressed the Philippines’ strong interest in expanding partnerships with the East Bay, emphasizing sectors such as clean energy, biotechnology, software development, and advanced manufacturing as key areas for collaboration. He noted, "The mention of the Philippines as a strategic manufacturing hub for an energy technology company underscores our nation’s growing significance in the global market."

The consulate highlighted the San Francisco Bay Area’s continued role as a vital center for innovation, nurturing talent, and fostering economic cooperation between the Philippines and United States. This engagement reaffirms the Philippines’ commitment to deepening ties and leveraging opportunities in technology and manufacturing within the region.
