With the launch of Integrity Chain, every stage of an infrastructure project bidding, planning, awarding will soon be accessible online. Filipinos will be able to check progress, verify transactions, and even report anomalies.
This citizen centered feature is what makes the DPWH BCP partnership groundbreaking. For the first time, ordinary taxpayers gain the tools to see where their money goes.
DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon noted: “It is important to partner with the private sector because they will help us. They will serve as our eyes.”
For advocates of clean governance, the technology promises a cultural shift: from suspicion to trust, from opacity to transparency. Instead of waiting for corruption scandals, citizens can prevent them by simply logging on.
