Investigation Underway After Newborn Allegedly Kidnapped from Pangasinan Hospital
Filemon Cruzado
Officials have commenced an investigation following the alleged abduction of a newborn at Lingayen District Hospital on Sunday, September 14. The infant, named Prince Harry Pablo Carpio, was born only four days prior, on Wednesday, September 10. His parents, Romeo, 42, and Rocel, 39, residents of Binmaley, Pangasinan, have appealed for assistance in finding their missing child.
Preliminary inquiries reveal that Romeo had briefly left the obstetrics ward to handle hospital payments, leaving Rocel and their newborn unattended. During this interval, a woman dressed in green scrubs, resembling a nurse, approached Rocel and claimed she needed to take Prince for a routine blood test. The child, however, was not returned. When Rocel sought clarification from hospital personnel, she was told no such test had been planned or carried out.
Lingayen police have initiated follow-up investigations, including the review of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from within and around the hospital premises. Authorities aim to identify the suspect and recover the infant safely. They are urging anyone with information related to the case to contact law enforcement immediately.
