1101st Infantry Brigade Enhances Battlefield Medical Skills with Tactical Combat Casualty Care Training

The 1101st Infantry Brigade (1101Bde) of the Army has successfully conducted Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3) training, empowering 44 soldiers—comprising regular troops and eight reservists—with vital medical skills for combat situations. Colonel Yasser Bara, commander of the 1101Bde, outlined on Tuesday that the training centered on essential emergency procedures such as hemorrhage control, airway management, and casualty evacuation under hostile conditions. Those trained were members drawn from various operational units under the brigade’s control and reservists from the 1602nd Community Defense Center (CDC). Highlighting the strategic importance of the program, Col. Bara emphasized, \"This training goes beyond basic skills; it serves as a critical lifeline. By equipping both active and reserve personnel with Tactical Combat Casualty Care, we enhance their survivability, resilience, and overall mission effectiveness.\" He underlined the necessity of TC3 proficiency for soldiers deployed in combat zones, where prompt medical care can be decisive to survival. Moreover, the inclusion of reservists in the training aims to reinforce cooperation between regular and reserve forces, promoting a cohesive and robust defense capability. The TC3 program was conducted at the 1101Bde headquarters located in Matalin village, Malabang, Lanao del Sur.
